Why is she tearing up so much ? I cant be that bad of an owner. |
Our yorkie gets eye-goo that will dry to eye-boogies if we don't get to it.

We use ProEye Professional Cleansing Eye Pads and a flea comb with really short tines that fits easily in my hand to comb through the hair. I make sure that anything stuck is wiggled out with the pad and my fingers before the comb so it doesn't pull but the comb still gets the fine stuff out of her hair. The eye pads are very soothing and seem to calm her eye corners. Our vet said "yes, some breeds do that" and "if it's excessive, it's probably an allergy or irritant reaction." We do notice she's had a bit more this spring after being out in the yard, so may there is an allergy component. The main thing is to make sure it's not an eye infection especially if there has been a sudden increase. Then clean with as little irritation to the eyes as you can.
