How about we agree that dogs need to get used to confinement, whether it be crate, carrier, cage, or kennel? Our Bella prefers to be in her carrier when we are away from the house, because she feels secure. However, she HATES cages and kennels at the vet's office. I think that's more because it's a strange environment (and she knows that something unpleasant is probably going to happen to her).
