Default Moose

Thanks for your reply and kind words. If Moose is being given all these meds, it sounds like he has a good chance. Some here have been able to successfully treat this disease so take heart. i was told that my baby would have to be regularly hydrated at home and we tried that, but it only lasted about an hour and she got really sick again. So please see that Moose gets plenty of liquid by mouth if not done via a drip into the skin, sub Q. I guess your vet will advise if home or vet hydration is needed. Perhaps you caught the disease early enough to be treated? That is good news. Hugs to you and Moose.
As you have another dog, the vet might also advise the SDMA test to hopefully prevent a shock like this again. But I have little knowledge of this test.
