It is also possible it is not one thing, but rather some combination of the LP, the Lymes and now added the hip flexor.

Our Bella's LP was painless. She just didn't want to put her leg down. Her surgical recovery was also relatively painless and rapid. I suspect that the yelping pain is either related to the Lyme's disease, or perhaps there was a sprain before the surgery. If there was a sprain prior to surgery, I would have thought that the sprain would have healed by now. And the vet should have caught it then, of course. There is so much going on that a second opinion from another vet might be indicated. I don't know whether I'm being paranoid, but I sometimes wonder if even the best of surgeons might be reluctant to admit that they were wrong about something...
