Yeah that is horrible...not sure if that's a rumor but nonetheless, horrific. I'm sure, the abuse is a worldwide problem.
Yes, it's called Yulin/ Lychee Meat festival in China. Not sure what they call it in Korea but it has something to do w/the summer solstice. It is a very old tradition (which needs to die), not even sure why they do it...
