Milk chocolate is a lot less toxic than unsweetened baking chocolate or even semisweet chocolate. It really depends on how much she ate, what type, and how much she weighs. I know right at first a vet can induce vomiting or pump their stomach, but this option goes away quickly. You might want to call your vet and tell them her weight, what type of chocolate, and how much, and how long ago and let them decide if you should induce vomiting or have her stomach pumped. My mom's maltese at about 4 pounds ate an entire Hershey chocolate bar with no ill effects. Good luck. |
