Feel like I need to update in case some one else goes through this with their pup. The vet started her on doxycycline last night and gave her a steroid injection. He was not as optimistic as I had hoped and warned me that she may have had rocky mountain spotted fever too long. Her legs were wobbly and she could only stand on her own for a few seconds. She couldn't walk because of the lump in her back leg. She could barely hold her head up.

She has had 3 doses of the meds and she is a new girl. She's walking all over the house. Her legs are still wobbly causing her to fall pretty easily. But she is soooo much better. I really feel like she is going to make a full recovery. She is eating and drinking almost as much as normal. She has 3 weeks of this med. I am hoping that it is enough to get this nasty illness out of her system.
