Bella sleeps really well at night but her crate is right next to my bed (
level w/my bed). She can see me fine and I can even pet her through the cage. She sleeps well and doesn't whine or fuss.
EXCEPT- when I go to the bathroom and she can't see me. Then she whines and whines and whine. She (thankfully) does not bark at night... just whines. But then, in the morning crated, she BARKS like crazy when I leave the room. It drives me crazy and I'm afraid the neighbor downstairs is going to complain! I've tried ignoring, tapping the cage and saying "Hush!", sprayed water at her, and even jangling the pennies in a jar someone, somewhere recommended. This all just seems to make her bark louder and become frenzied.
I know I'm supposed to ignore her. I do, and take her out only when quiet, but she still barks when I'm not around and it is oh-so-frustrating!
