I had always wanted a Yorkie for some reason, I just thought they looked lovely and I really liked their small size. My first dog, Trixie, was a Yorkie mix and was given to me by a work collegue. I hadn't planned to get a dog because I was working full time. Anyway, she lasted 14 years and I missed her so much that my husband turned up with another Yorkie, Jake, three weeks later. Lucy came along last year by coincidence when I came across her on one of my walks, always sitting in the front garden of a house, she was terribly neglected, full of knots and filthy. I offered to buy her and she was given to me instead! |
