I can only imagine how much my two babies would love to roam around in a small, safely fenced off area in a backyard. But, I live in a condo, so they don't have that luxury...

As for the porch potty, I believe there's no single yes/no answer to whether your yorkie would use it. They've all got such different personalities. But...if you did get one, I'm sure you could train her to use it, similarly to how you'd train a puppy to use potty pads.

Here are my babies using their new Porch Potty that I got them last year :

I keep this on the Porch, which works well for me when the weather is too intense or on weekend mornings / late nights when I don't feel like taking an elevator ride to take them outside.
I've also found an amazing DIY porch potty that I would have wanted to make, but I don't have the tools or the space for such a DIY: DIY porch potty - Album on Imgur

We don't have many rugs at home, but the few that Casie has had accidents on, I've taken them away. Now...I'm left with one mat in the washroom. I plan to keep it that way for some time, until she gets into the routine of only going to her "potty area" when she needs to go. If your baby is having accidents, try to limit her access to the carpeted areas until you feel more confident that she knows her "potty area".
