Also, I thought it was his glands but, the vet has taught me how to do it myself so I regularly do it myself. So, I've ruled that bit out..

I've also been told, since he's an intact male, that his prostate could be swollen and therefore pushing agaisnt the anal glands making it uncomfortable for him.

I've just set up his neutering operation for next Monday so I'll be able to rule that out if that is actually the cause of his constant irritation in his behind!
