I want to thank everyone who has been supportive of me and Thumper. It hasn't been easy but he is improving each day. I call it his new normal. He is off all anti-anxiety meds. His eating and potting habits have changed but I hope they will continue to improve over time.

I take him on Saturdays to a playgroup with other dogs and he is flourishing. He really misses being around others. I just hate leaving him alone during the week. he looks so sad to me.

I have been looking for a new dog as not only does Thumper want a friend I want one. Not to replace Boomer but just to give us more joy.

I have two possibilities. I am waiting to hear back from a rescue group regarding a meet and greet for yorkie named Bella who is 18 months used as a breeder and then surrendered. I am told she is in excellent health, potty trained, and very friendly.

The other option is a 3.5 year old male named Chewie that was surrendered because his owner because very ill and can no longer care for him. I have a home visit on Saturday and if all goes well will set up a meet and greet.

I will see what happens as both have a lot of interest so even if the meet and greet goes well anything can happen. I am trying not to get my hopes up.
