To be honest, I'm not sure if Yorkies NEED lifejackets or if it's just a precaution. The people who run the pool think it's a good idea and provide them. When Eddie learned to swim, he did it without a life jacket and he swam just fine. Jillie learned without a life jacket too. But they do seem more comfortable in life jackets and I feel more safe. I figure I'm not out to prove anything and if a lifejacket makes me feel comfortable, that's what I'll do!

Neither loves the water. I have to encourage them.
