it's a play thing he wants to be chased, most yorkies love to be chased and often they are not as tired as you are when it's time for bed because they have been sleeping while you have been watching TV. annoying as hell but common. I would figure out a way to corner him right off the bat, that's what i do with Lola, she goes potty via leash right before bed, so i don't even set her loose, the leash comes off and I carry her up he stairs and place her in bed.
