Thank you all for your opinions. Kathryn, your story scares the heck out of me because the dog could easily get into my daughter's art stuff if it escaped--something we have to avoid at all costs. Unfortunately, she doesn't have the physical space for such a large crate. A while ago, I think someone posted something about placing a top on the x-pen to keep their little rascal in place. Now I'll research that. I'll keep you posted on what we eventually decide to do. I think I've spent more time researching paraphernalia for this little puppy than when I had my first child!
