I am happy to hear Tulip is doing well.
That is what happens....Cookie was always healthy until that one fateful day in 2011...scared the heck out of me. She was on prednisone for a long time...the specialist likes to keep them on low dose every other day. He said that they are easier to get back into remission that way (if they flare). He finally did take her off because her protein levels stayed consistently normal for a long time. She was put back on this year after 3 relapses and will more than likely stay on them...or we have also discussed chemo. (cannot think of the name of the med now). They don't like for prednisone to be the long term solution...you are right about that! Hopefully Tulip will continue to do well and it can be discontinued.
