My pup has been having breathing issues since September which is also when ragweed blooming. took him to the vet end of September.... they said it was respiratory allergies, which I have never heard of in a dog. Benadryl 2-times a day... didn't seem to help all that much, but made very sedated and hyperactive.... still breathing issues... so I took him to another vet for a second opinion. They also said respiratory allergies and gave a list of antihistamines to try. Trying Zyrtec once a day and the past couple of days have been much better. Crazy!!
