Vets are actually not educated in every aspect of breeding, they can say whether the dog is healthy enough to have puppies but they don't know the standards of every dog to know if it is the best example of the breed which you should only be breeding. You also should have gone to each specialist to check every aspect of the dog before breeding that is IF you want to do it right. No I don’t need a thick skin to be a breeder – I just need what I have a big heart and determination to do what I know and feel is right for me and my dogs. What I don’t need is some random person who doesn’t know me from a hole in the ground judging me based on my simple little introduction to this forum.

I’m not looking for fame or fortune, I’m just doing what I love and enjoy doing –nothing brings me more pleasure than being around animals especially moms with their babies.

True vets don’t know it all, and then again nor does anyone else. We can only work with what we have, and even the best of breeders don’t get it right all the time. In fact, if I’m not mistaken, wasn’t it the professional show breeders that destroyed every puppy that didn’t meet the breed standards even for something as simple as color – how sad is that – and your scared cause someone may not be breeding right – duh, think again.

As for breed standards – that’s just the show people’s idea of what a breed should look like. Doll face Himalayans are not to breed standards and that is what I started with – then I thought I should do it RIGHT and invested into the SHOW quality Himalayans – biggest mistake I ever made because I went from watching beautiful little doll face Himalayans being happy and playful to watching beautiful little show Himalayans with runny eyes having trouble to breathe due to their short show face – so forget the breed standards for me I will not make that same mistake with my little dogs.

I will not be docking my dog’s tails, and my breeding girls will be at least 6 –8 lbs. For those of you who don’t agree with me, guess what, I’m not asking you too, and nor is it any of your business how I choose to breed my dogs. My goal is to produce happy healthy dogs that pet owners will enjoy, not mutilated ones. I have no intentions of causing my dogs any unnecessary stress or pain to satisfy anyone’s fabricated ideal of what they think they should look like.

Breeding right – according to who – that’s a Joke right!!!
