Default heartworm meds

I looked at Wylie's Mom list of heartworm meds. My question is does anyone else have a very picky little yorkie? Cooper is now 15 months old and I've been able to mask the flavor of heartgard before. But now the last two doses have been almost impossible to get down him. I could bread it in bits and forcibly push it down his throat, but I really don't want to do that unless I have to. I've soaked in it tuna water and mushed it up with a little tuna and he ate maybe a third and that was it. This time I soaked it in water and made a mush and one of his favorites - a bit of taco meat... ya I know that probably isn't the best but he will eat that in tiny bits. (He is a very very picky eater). Nope... would not eat it. When he was little I could mask little bits in a piece of cheese just fine. He is getting smarter or his nose is at least. Any suggestions? Has anyone heard of liquid medication that you could use a dropper to administer?
