I slip up about once a year and give Teddy something (the tiniest piece of something) and he ends up with diarrhea.

I thought Teddy could finally handle scrambled egg. Max loves egg, so it is really hard not treating Teddy too. Nope. The tiniest piece of egg sets him off. Now I substitute 3 tiny shreds of Parmesan cheese, which he does okay with. He is a 9 pound boy, and it doesn't take much to make him happy.

I understand the urge to give more, but really it is easy to make them happy with tiny, tiny treats. Max loves pasta and I used to give him one whole spaghetti noodle. I have to watch his weight, so I started giving him a small piece of the noodle. He is just as happy.
Thankfully, she CAN handle eggs. She got this when her tummy started really acting up- so I was sure to introduce them very slowly. I don't give her the whole egg; She gets around a tablespoon. Egg whites only. Not the fake stuff, either, an actual egg. No oil or anything added.. and very, very, rarely does she get to taste the yolk. I don't know what would happen if I gave her any more than a quick taste of yolk- probably bad things. I just make them for her like I make them for myself. However, I have no qualms about what the doc told me to do, so I think for her own good, I have to do what he suggested; which was even put her I/d in the freezer, or make it really cold in tiny pieces and give it to her for treats. I know I have to give her the foods back so they can see whats going on, but It's probably just better to stick to the sensitive tummy rx food. At least after we do this. Easily broken down proteins or not, I can't give her that and not give her other things, too. I think I'll try that parmesan trick. That's interesting and she loves the Parmesan we buy fresh. I've given her a little string piece here and there myself.
