My question makes you nervous and leads you to believe that I am breeding without enough knowledge. Really, my question should have made you realize that I was humble enough to ask it, and it should show that I am determined enough to learn not just from books and internet but also from other breeder's experience.

You my dear do not have the right to assume anything about anyone - I have 2 mentors actually, and plenty of breeder friends and the internet is full of information that I have studied over the years. Breeders of all sorts ask various questions, and we enjoy sharing our info and no question is stupid –the only thing that is stupid is the question that is not asked.

My dogs are first and foremost my pets. We hold girls so they don’t scare and damage themselves or the male during a tie but I am not interested in holding and guiding or AI’s to ensure a breeding. My 5 year old male is proven with various girls of different sizes, and I was just fishing for suggestions cause many times people try little things like giving the male something to elevate himself on or just using what many calls a breeding mat, etc.

People like you need to find a different site to be on - I am and have been a pet owner and dealt with pet owners all my life and I know from experience that for the most part they are all loving caring people who love sharing info, obviously you’re not one of them.
