If she continues to have gastro issues though, stick to her Rx food and nothing else. I know it is really hard resisting giving something more fun, but it's better than seeing them sick. I slip up about once a year and give Teddy something (the tiniest piece of something) and he ends up with diarrhea.
I thought Teddy could finally handle scrambled egg. Max loves egg, so it is really hard not treating Teddy too. Nope. The tiniest piece of egg sets him off. Now I substitute 3 tiny shreds of Parmesan cheese, which he does okay with. He is a 9 pound boy, and it doesn't take much to make him happy.
I understand the urge to give more, but really it is easy to make them happy with tiny, tiny treats. Max loves pasta and I used to give him one whole spaghetti noodle. I have to watch his weight, so I started giving him a small piece of the noodle. He is just as happy.
