In the stickie section the first part of this forum there is an article called rehabbing a rescue dog. It might have suggestions useful for you.

My razzle can be aggressive towards my big ones, and if he is it is usually he is resource guarding me . If on my lap stern no and down to the floor he goes. In bed he is again set down. My big ones have never disciplined him once! They don't consider him a threat which he is not to them.

Separation anxiety. I would have my bro walk one big dog and you the wee one, and switch off halfway through. This starts your dog feeling as if he is part of the pack and in time will look more to them for company.

You may already know some of this stuff but desensitization takes time. Don't make big deal out of Leaving, or coming home, or having a bath shower.
