Are you going to train him to make outdoors once he is 100% pad / UGO trained? If so, when you take him out to make his pee-pee or to poop, there should be NO PLAYING, I am sure you have words for peeing and word for pooping, these words are to be used when you take him out to potty, tell him what he is outside for. He has to know when it's play time and when it's potty time. Potty time is NOT play time. My boy is 5 yo, when it's pee-pee or poop time I ask him him "do you wanna make pee-pee or ask poo-poo" so out he goes and does this thing, when it's PLAY time I ask him "do you wanna go in the yard" key word for my boy is YARD so he knows it's play time.
