I called many Vet offices in my area today to get a feel and some prices.
Just by calling them I learned a lot about them. What is strange to me how they have different opinions about when to spay. Some say at around 6 months, some say after the first heat...
Well, I will probably wait like the breeder recommended to see how the baby teeth/permanent growth develops. until then I can do my due diligence on all the offices around. I also ask most of the dog owners I meet where they go. In the meantime I will do my "recap" of old knowledge from 10+ years ago. Back then I had a westie and I myself groomed her and had a "hobby kennel" with the support of a couple of very successful breeders. Strange how you forget things that you do not use. |
