I feel as though I didn't articulate what I meant to say very well, so I've attached a picture to show what I mean. And also I'd say, if you do end up altering a harness and getting something from a hardware store, make sure you get something that you are comfortable with using. I've had the clasp on a leash fail before. The ones with the spring in them I believe can get kinda loose. But this has been the one thing that has made my one bad walker a great walker. And I think the makers of the harnesses that have a ring at the front of them realize that. From there it's just making sure the length of the leash isn't too much that your dog steps over it. It should just dangle half way down in front of their body. Now you'll have a dog that's good at loose leash walking right beside you instead of pulling and yanking you around! |
