Try attaching the leash to the front of the harness. Some harnesses have rings or clips or whatever at the front. Or you can buy a clasp ring thing at a home hardware type of store and make it yourself. For awhile one of my dogs had the hardest time walking nicely and constantly correcting him and even using treats didn't help. So I altered the buddy belt harness I have for him by adding a ring clasp thing to the front of it, and he walks right beside me now because if he pulls it will spin him around. So that taught him not to pull. And now he's a great walker and he just got accustom to walking beside me. |
