Genetics determine growth patterns. My boys did not grow steadily. They grew in spurts, with a late growth spurt at 11 months.
Teddy was just under 6 pounds at 8 months. He grew another 2 pounds by 1 year of age, and put on a pound of muscle his second year. Final weight: 9 pounds. Still a skinny little guy.
