My Bentley has had to go on flagyl/metronidazole for his IBD/IBS when it flares up. If any of you have taken a flagyl med...it leaves the most unbearable taste. Bentley is on Hill's Z/D prescription diet and I add the canned version from the vet. The canned food helps especially when he has to have the antibiotic. When he has is flare ups I give him Kaopectate also. Just wanted to let you know what has worked for me
