I am attempting to do all my own grooming also. Silk has a really thick coat. I have seen on here that some people use thinning scissors. when do you know if you need to do that and how do you do it? Do the scissors automatically do it as you cut? So far, I haven't done anything to her coat just her pads, butt and face. Also, her hair is long and flowing over her legs. It is past her toes. should i trim this back? Thanks
