I've been asked this before as well by another yorkie owner. I think it was because my babies have long silky hair - they automatically thought 'silky terrier'? But gosh, mine look nothing like Silkies, not even very very slightly! I knew she had no idea what she was talking about but it was annoying. I didn't bother explaining to her.. haha...
In another incident, some stranger with a yorkie walks up to me and insisted to let me know "just because you have a yorkie doesn't mean you have to grow out their hair like the pictures - you can shave it short you know". Really? Wow. hahaha...
