If you look in Pa. be very careful as there are many puppy mills in this state. Where ever you choose, make sure you see the puppy in person and it's parents. $1000. is kinda low for a reputable breeder. Back yard breeders which you MUST stay away from charge $1000 / $1200. that's NOT a bargain, you will pay much more down the road for vet bills for a sick puppy. $1500 / $1800.is a more realistic price from a reputable breeder and that is still on the low side. Females are more expensive then males. Good luck to you in your quest to finding that special little puppy.
