My cats are 13 and 14... Dogs 9 and 10. They eat each other's food all the time. Now max the new Yorkie loves to steal a cat kibble from their dish. The only vet visits we have in all those years (except to fix them and yearly shots )is one cat has UTI so on prescription dry food. Cat food is higher in protein/fat but a piece every now and then doesn't hurt. Wolfing down a bowl full instead of their food is hard on their kidneys per the vet we have. My moms dog does the wolfing down of cat food and his only problem is weight gain, again not heathy.
