You really need to look at contacting a vet nutritionist for the proper balanced diet if you want to home cook because if it's unbalanced it really could cause harm. Have you looked some of the prescription foods? I really love Royal Canin prescription food we have to use the hypoallergenic one and after several years Callie has yet to get bored from it.
