The problem is that the two dogs are left in the kitchen area from 8:00 am - 5:30 pm and then again when the owners go to sleep.
Gosh, that's a lot of time for two active Yorkies to be 'penned-up.' Could you find a reliable dog-walker and/or a doggie day care to help bring variety? I think it would help immeasurably if these two little guys could work off some of that notorious Yorkie energy. I'm gone 9 hrs a night, and though small, Piper has the run of the house. In addition, we go for a 1/2 hr -45 min walk (at Piper's rather quick pace) shortly after I get home. Then we do yard work or go shopping or just play on and off throughout the day 'til bedtime, then work...I recognize female compared to male, but the energy-thang is universal! You're quite wonderful to be doing so much for these silly little boys!
