Oh your daughter was like mine. She used it and always appropriately too....didn't just throw it in willy nilly. SIL babysat once....said later...ya know C says d-mn...first time she thought she'd heard her wrong....then they were leaving the house, SIL asked her what was taking so long? Darling daughter's reply "my d-mn shoe fell off". Cleared up any doubts.
I am short and throw things in the top of my cabinets intead of getting a step stool. Threw a bag of sugar (I should've been a quarterback) in the top cabinet, it falls back out onto the stove. DD looks at me and says..."say d-mnit, momma". Told her "oh, sweetie we only say
that if the bag had burst open".

Not really, but I tried my hardest not to say it around her.
