Default Open mouth and excessive licking

Hello Im new to the forum and figured I'd reach out to those who know the most about our little fur babies. I have a 7 year old Yorkie that is a bit in the heavy side. He's been a healthy fella until recently. I boarded him for 10 days about a month ago just as an FYI. Two weeks ago, I noticed my Yorkie not eating as well. Two days later, this progressed. He didn't eat, barely drank, wasn't pooping and was quite lethargic. I figuered a late onset of kennel cough as he sometimes gets after boarding. When he barked, I noticed it was a bit horse. I brought him to the vet on day 2 of no poop. At this time, there was also excessive licking of his lips, wet beard and a open mouth open resting (no panting). I took him to the vet the next morning, which he is extremely anxious about and he had a fever as I suspected. They gave him a fluid injection and some medicine for nausea. The vet said he might have a slight case of pancreatitis too. Two days later, my little guy was good as new. Fast forward another week and he's acting strange again - hiding in odd places, licking his lips like crazy, constantly has his mouth open with his tongue peaking out. He's eating, drinking and popping fine, but i am worried. I was poking around and noticed what appears to be a small pea-sized lump under his lower jaw. He didn't seem to want me to touch it much. He does have dental issues and is in need of a cleaning but money is tight. Could he be in pain from his teeth? Are the two instances connected or just a coincidence. No vets except emergency rooms are open tomorrow so I'm hoping this isn't an ER situation that can wait until Monday. Any insight???? I'm worried sick!
