What works varies from pup to pup. I have used multiple meds depending on the situation. First thing is to get a firm diagnosis. You might want to have a flouroscopy done.

An interesting medication that works for some is Lomotil. Here is an article from Kirk's Vet Manual about it (click on the links on the page). You need an RX for it.

Basic meds that are often used can be torbugesic, hycodan, Temeril P, Prednisone ...and they even use a combo of torbugesic and ace pro for severe symptoms on an as needed basis.

If you might be interested in participating in a study of Antinol, message me and I can get you in touch with a specialist who is doing it. There have been some anecdotal reports that is does help with CT. I don't know if it is only for local to Houston folks or if he will do other states. Can't hurt to inquire.
