As far as the registration, I don't see any choice at all except to pay the extra if you want breeding rights. Don't see a way around that. I would just suggest that you *really* think long and hard about having your sweet little man become a breeder or not, rather than just live his life as a beloved pet. For me, I just want them as pets -- breeding to me is for experts only.
