Cherie will be feeling much better tomorrow. It will take a little time for the anesthesia to leave her system. I'd continue with the pain medication for a couple more days to be sure Chewie is not in pain. Her body will heal better if she's not in pain.

Through the years I hated the idea of spaying each of my little girls, so I can relate to all of your concerns. I knew in the long run they would be happier not having to be restricted from walks during the time they were in heat. The risk of pyrometers and mammary tumors were also lessened, so know you did the right thing for your little girl.

I'm thrilled to hear Chewie's liver values are much better.
