Technically, they shouldn't really need one bc pretty much all dog food on the market is balanced according to AAFCO standards. But some people still like to give supplements. I personally take a ton of supplements...but believe me, my diet is not balanced or proper at all, lol
...so I do think I need it. Whereas w/ my dogs, I feel they get a much better balanced diet for sure, so I only give them oil and some dental additive.
