It is quite strange I think for a nine week old puppy to shed at all! I would follow up with Ann's advice and check for a skin condition. Mange is actually transferable to people as well and is unfortunately highly contagious. Yorkshire terriers and poodles both do not shed. Although it is possible that your dog has an additional breed mixed in that is a shedding breed, j would say 'shedding like crazy' is not typical for a nine week old pup.
