Here's the written story:
COLUMBUS Ga.- A local animal shelter is taking on the challenge of finding new homes for dozens of dogs, after their owner passed away.

Claws and Paws and Petco held an adoption event on Saturday. An Atlanta breeder has recently passed away leaving 200 yorkies without homes.

11 yorkies were up for adoption Saturday in Columbus. Petco teamed up with local animal shelter Claws and Paws as a way to support their effort to give the dogs new homes.

Petco donated $35 to the shelter for each dog that was adopted. Claws and paws is a no kill shelter, which makes it crucial for them to move animals in and out of their care.

The shelter runs completely off of donations, so they encourage everyone to adopt if they can, but if not, they have a temporary fostering program. So far three yorkies have been adopted.

Petco will host a similar adoption event on September 10th. For more information on how you can help a furry friend in need, click here.
