My friend has a lab pup that had a couple of seizures. She took it to the vet and it was put on a medication that kept it from having seizures.
Well - she ran out of medication and couldn't go back to the vet ($$$) - and her dog began having seizures again. She phoned around and found another vet that was less expensive and took her dog in. She was thrilled because she said the vet visit, lab work, and the medication were only $100.
I'm sure that vet costs and medications can also vary depending on what is causing the seizures. But, if they continue or worsen, you really have no choice.
