Some dogs are almost impossible to get a pill into. I have been there! I always try to hide it in something tasty first to avoid the hassle, but - sigh - I have one that is a master at pill spitting. With anaplasmosis it is important to get every dose of medication in, as it can lead to much worse complications if not completely resolved. Have you tried a "Dog Piller?" They do work! Here is a link to one on Amazon just so you can see what they look like, but you can pick them up locally at PetSmart or Petco.
