Hi and welcome. Yes, I've dealt with this kind of thing extensively. Where are the bald spots exactly?

- May need to test for ring worm (this is a fungus, not a worm); need to grow out sample in culture for 10 days, then view under scope

- Hot spots need to be skin-scraped and looked at under scope to determine whether bacterial or not. Can't treat it if don't know what it is. For pyoderma, the gold standard treatment is Simplicef x 30 days.

- Should test thyroid ASAP

- Should most definitely rule out Cushings by having the Cortisol-Creatinine Ratio Urine test. If results are considered inconclusive, but there are other signs of Cushings, then you do need to test for Atypical Cushings.
