Max dug up a dead cricket once on our walk. Yuck! They must smell good.
It's hard to know when we are inadvertently training for unwanted behaviors. These little guys learn how to game the system. Max learned to bark out the window so that I would tell him to be quiet and then reward him when he obeyed.
Thankfully he eventually gave it up.
