Yes, the Buddy Belts run true to size. The size chart is accurate. Measure chest girth snug and do not add any room to the measurement. The weights are only loose guidelines. Chest measurement is what matters.
Post a picture of Gidget in the BB2 that you bought and I can tell you if it is the right size. A size shot would be best. Side and top views would be good.
Since your baby is only about 15 weeks old, any harness that fits correctly now is likely not going to fit when she reaches adult size.
