Does any one else's dog do this. When I take Boomer and Thumper out for the day I bring a bowl and water with me in case they get thirsty. For some reason they refuse to drink water unless they are desperate.

For instance, yesterday we went to Central Park for a picnic and it was extremely hot out. After a long walk they were panting. I tried giving them water but they would only take a few sips. The minute we got home they ran to their water bowl and drank water for a good two minutes.

If I place the same water bowl down in the apartment they will drink out of it so I know it is not the bowl. It seems they are just picky where they drink water. Even when I take them to friends houses they rarely drink water.
