I had the same issue with my last yorkie. She didn't have potty issue but she would bark or do this wack-a-mole thing until I woke up to lift her back up in bed.

I bought some steps and once she was trained.....I was able to get a good night sleep. Training her to go up was easy but going down took a little extra work because I think she would forget to use the steps. Every time she jumped off the bed, I would put her back on the bed and put chicken on each step to get her to go down.....I did this repeatedly until she started going down the steps on her own. After, that she never jumped off the bed again.
